The BA Robotics Team had the privilege of representing the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation and VEX Robotics at the Nashville Mini Maker Faire hosted by Vanderbilt University. We had the opportunity to engage with Middle Tennessee area students and teachers, sharing our love and knowledge of robotics and STEM related activities.
Each student took a shift volunteering at the faire. We set up both an information booth and a VEX field. The field was set up with the cones from the In The Zone challenge, and visitors were able to get a feel for what driving a robot is like. Students also provided information to visitors on how to start a team and shared their own experiences of being a part of robotics at Brentwood Academy.
